John Hopkins' Engineering Innovation Program. A few queries

Hi everybody, I was hoping if you could shed some light on a few questions I had about John Hopkin's Engineering Innovation Program. [ http://engineering.jhu.edu/ei/ ] Firstly, if anyone has attended this program. What were your thoughts. I am highly interested in this program because I think it will give me something that I definitely need at this point in life (especially what-I-want-to-do wise): clarity. I know it says that students were taught how to think in a different way and all but I'd be more assured if I heard a personal experience from someone. (TOEFL) In the apply page, in the international students subsection, it says that 'International students must provide their TOEFL scores'. then it says that ' The TOEFL requirement is based on the linguistic educational background of applicants, not citenship and that 'TOEFL is required of all applicants who have not attended an English language school for the last five years' I have been going to one of the BIS' in asia for the past 4 years. So do I need to give the TOEFL score or not? As of now, I have not done the TOEFL but I plan to this academic year. Does anyone have any recommendations for resources that I can use to prepare, the subreddit for TOEFL is not as busy as this one (Essay) A 250 word essay in response to the prompt: "Explain why you want to participate in the Engineering Innovation course and what you hope to gain from the experience.” Any thoughts on how I should go about doing this, as I stated earlier the main thing that I want to achieve is clarity with what particular field I want to go into (and also to develop a connection with other students who will be present). (Prospects in other colleges) Does going to a summer course in School X have an affect {effect?} on my chances of getting into School Y? Further Info: IB Subjects: Maths Physics Econ HL. Chem French Eng L&L SL Also considering Stanford Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes and the OSC-IB programme in Boston (https://osc-ib.com/mid-ib-summer-schools/boston/introduction) so if anyone has attended any of these, please share your experiences Thanks in advance :)
