Hello,
I have been trying to find a summer opportunity but it doesn't seem to be going well..
So far, I applied to an internship at my local university but I got rejected after an interview. I have been looking for opportunities for jobs, even emailing some professors at my local university with no responses. Now I am trying to look for a job but I'm not sure where to start.
I plan on attending a prestigious university so I would like a job or internship that would really put my skills to the test or at least allow me to learn a thing or two.
If all else fails, I plan on staying at home reading, studying, and teaching myself programming.
My main questions are:
What kind of jobs should I pursue that will challenge myself?
If I don't get a job, what would teaching myself programming and studying all summer say on my college app?
