Hi, I got accepted to the Women's Technology Program for EECS at MIT and the Summer Academy for Math and Science at Carnegie Mellon. I am unsure of which program is program is better, they're both really great, and I'm weighing my options. Does one look better to colleges than the other? I know WTP is more difficult to get into and has the MIT name, but there are many appealing aspects to SAMS and it's still at a great university. SAMS - 6 weeks - CMU credit and non-credit seminars in math, science, and computer science - project - free - SAT prep included - Personal and Career development workshops - real college experience at CMU - about 17% acceptance rate (120 students selected) WTP - 4 weeks - non-credit classes (electrical engineering, comp sci, math) - project - little less of a true college experience, slightly more summer camp-y but still very rigorous - MIT and basically free - 8.6% acceptance (60 girls selected)
