Hi Mates,
I am a student from India studying in 10th grade and am thinking of applying for YYGS 2019 for Frontiers of Science and Technology.
Grades:
9th- above 90% CBSE Board India.
10th- expecting above 94%(Till Feb, which is the application deadline)
Extracurriculars:
1)2nd in National Level Science Seminar where I presented on Plasma Gasifiers and other techniques in Waste 2)Management(approx. 5000+, slightly conservative)
3)Numerous state level elocution and quizzes.
4)Vedic mathematics, science comp. etc
5) International English Olympiad- 37th rank International level.
But something that I feel will make me a strong applicant:
From the 8th grade, I have been programming. I completed University of Michigan Python 5 course specialization. Then I experimented with Front-end and Back-end. Finally, for almost six months I have been practising Machine Learning, more specifically Deep Leaning. I am currently doing the deeplearning.ai course by Andrew Ng and also doing the fast.ai course.\
Future:
By the time I file my application I think that I will be able to get good results on Kaggle. Also, I am thinking of research in Data Augmentation in Natural Language Processing(NLP).
I also plan on doing various other 'stuff'.
So I kindly request any of you to give chance me.
