Hey guys, I'm new to college confidential so not sure if this question belongs here! I'm currently a junior in high school, and I've had awful luck emailing professors to help in their lab.
I'm super interested in bio. I have 4.0 unweighted and 1570, and taken AP bio and AP chem. USABO semifinalist. I've taken a biotech lab course so I know how to do basic things like electrophoresis/micropipeting/PCR. I also have a decent amount of textbook knowledge-I've read Campbell, cell bio (Albert), plant bio (Raven), and physio (Sherwood) textbooks.
I'm not sure if ^^^ is enough to be competitive considering a professor probably wouldn't accept a high schooler over a college student. Is it too late for me to find research now? How do I write a convincing email? I'm so worried since it seems everyone has some sort of internship/research except me!!
