Hi!! I'm a rising senior who applied for Summer Ventures this year, and I'm really worried about my application. I think my stats are decent, I have a 4.0 UW GPA, 4.9 W GPA. Taken/taking 8 AP's so far. I'm really active and a captain in my schools Speech and Debate team, a part of student council, Mu Alpha Theta, Red Cross Club, and I do alot of other volunteer work and extracurriculars.
However, I'm really worried about my essays. I put a decent amount of effort into them, but I have a very flowery way of writing, and I'm just worried that it came off as fake or lacking substance. How much do essays factor in their decisions??
I really really wanna go this summer, but I have a volunteer opportunity come up on the same time frame as Summer Ventures, so if I really have no chance of going then I want to know. Any advice or feedback would be super appreciated!!
