Waiting for acceptance into a summer college program: active or passive?

Hi everyone! My D has applied to NYU Tisch high school summer program, and we are already exhausted by waiting! Still, almost three more weeks to go till the announced response date. Does it make sense for her to call/write NYU (to stress one more time how much she wants to be accepted), or is it better to be patient and wait quietly? Thanks!
